The FilmLife Project.
When The GroundSwell Project approached Sarah Allen Consulting to co-ordinate media and social marketing for their new film festival project called FilmLife, we jumped at the chance.
The FilmLife Project was the first short film festival for people 18-29 that aimed to raise awareness about organ donation for DonateLife Week 2012.
With short lead time but a big vision, we came up with a fresh social, marketing and media strategy to reach young people online, sparking imaginations about the film festival challenge and conversations about our organ donation wishes in the process.
Within eight weeks Facebook fans had jumped from 0 to 1,800 and an unlikely collaboration with online community ABC Pool around ‘Conversations about Organ Donation’ spawned additional media pieces that were used at screening night.
Media coverage of the young filmmakers personal connection to the organ donation topic added value for sponsors including the Organ and Tissue Authority.
Now in it’s second year, Sarah Allen Consulting continues to provide strategic social media advice and input for this dynamic and creative cross-section between health and the arts.
