The fans and followers of Sarah Allen Consulting on Bookface and Twitface, Pinface and this blog rock. That’s why I’m announcing our Fan of the Week to thank regular commenters on the Sarah Allen Consulting blog and social media presence.

To find out how to become the Fan of the Week, just read to the bottom of this post!

Here’s a fantastic fan, Hayley, who I met three years ago when we were in Parenting Class together with our respective bumps and partners. Since then Hayley has worked her little tush off at building her photography business, Hayley Grace Photography, and it’s been a joy to watch.

Hayley, thanks for all your support, and next time we catch up the coffee / hot chocolate and cake is on me!

Fan of the Week:

Tell us about yourself.

I’m a WAHM with a busy two year old Princess – Holly Grace & an equally busy little Newborn & Family Photography business. I have hit that age where i have to do the maths all the time to work out that I am actually 36. I’m a devoted partner to my handsome man Greg & very proud to be a mother, daughter, sister & Aunty. Tick all the boxes there. I could even tell you that I am a great Aunty but that’s just boasting.

About Hayley Grace Photography.

I’m a natural light photographer, owning & operating a newborn & Family Photography business in Sydney NSW Australia, Hayley Grace Photography.

I adore all things photography & decided to give away the corporate for the creative & just go for gold with my long time hobby. I’m loving it. Traveling all over Sydney I get to meet such wonderful families & photograph the most gorgeous babies in the most beautiful locations. I’m always scouting perfect locations & backdrops & frequent lots of second hand shops for props.

How do you see social media?

I embrace social media as a very powerful ‘word of mouth’ marketing tool. My business is on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn the web & Pinterest.  I’ve taught myself how to link them all together & I’m quite excited about my following on my Newborn photography board on Pinterest.  I’ve learnt that with Facebook that while a like for like is a good promotion it’s better to have a quality like than a quantity like. With all the Facebook changes to business pages a quality like can be hard to come by & hold onto. I don’t like to flood people’s news feeds so I try to just post images as these speak the very best for my work.

I don’t know much about branding or have much of a budget for advertising. I think in the near future my next business goal is to educate myself with support on these two things. My advertising is purely word of mouth referrals, business cards, a sticker on the back of my car, social media & a website.

Your most treasured possession.

My most treasured possession in life is my daughter Holly, if I can call her a possession. Watching her change & develop everyday is both equally challenging in awe inspiring.

In business I have a couple of treasures that I just couldn’t do without. One being my Camera an absolute necessity for a photographer & the second my iPhone my business hub. I can check emails, update social media, receive & return calls / messages & show clients galleries all from the one genius device. If I ever lose it I’m in trouble.

Here’s how to find Hayley’s website and Facebook page.

And if you want to become a Sarah Allen Consulting Fan of the Week, simply leave a comment on the blog or Facebook page throughout the week, and someone will be chosen at random to receive thanks, coffee and cake!
